APRIL

It's April 17th to be exact and I am busy raking leaves that I thought I already raked before Winter set in..You wonder how that happens. I always think my neighbors send me their leaves. The wind always seems to facilitate just that.Bulbs are part way up at this time but it is still cold at night in the 20's, 60's during the day. My neighbor gave me several daffodil bulbs to plant, so put them EVERYWHERE. Our local greenhouse is back in action(owners return from Florida)."The Greenery" always has such beautiful, healthy plants etc. After a long winter it is always something to look forward to. Also time to plant grass seed, lawn is a nightmare, always bare spots. Spray painted garden chair that we found floating in the Battenkill River, RED(metal chair in top photo). So April is basically cleaning up and waiting for the weather to get warmer.
